Dr Iyamu obtained his MBBS degree from the prestigious University of Lagos, idi – Araba, Lagos in 1984. Immediately after graduation, he did his housemanship at the Central hospital Benin City before relocating to the United States of America for his specialization and fellowship. Upon arrival in the US, Dr Iyamu attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore, USA where he obtained his specialization in Geriatric Psychiatry.

He is very passionate about his patients and usually goes above the call of duty to satisfy his patients.

He is a member of the American Board of Geriatric Psychiatry. He is blessed with children.
