Cletus Okodolor

Cletus is an Internationalist, Security Expert, Author of the Arms Control and Disarmament book and many international relations publications.

He had his first degree with Second Class Upper in Political Science and Public Administration and Second Degree in International Relations from the University of Benin, Edo state.

He holds an MPhil in the Political Science University of Lagos. He also holds Advanced Diploma in Security Operations and Management from the University of Lagos.

He started his working career with the Nigerian Navy from 1986-2002 after which he retired as a middle-rank officer. From 2003 to 2014, he was the Chief Security Officer of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Lagos and from his academic interest, was a contract lecturer (part-time) at the Department of history and International Studies, Lagos State University from 2004-2014. In January 2014, he joined Arksego Nigeria Limited, a security consulting firm, as General Operations Manager.

In 2016, he was hired by a Turkish company Hayat Kimya (manufacturers of Molfix Diapers) Agbara, to set up their security department. After his assignment, he opted to leave for Lagos. By June 2017, he was offered the position of Chief Security and Safety Officer in Primero Transport Services Nigeria Limited (Operator of Lagos State BRT) as the company’s First Security and Safety Manager to set up a standard department that can prevent risk and respond to threats and emergencies swiftly.

After serving Lagos through Primero as their BRT security and safety head from (2017 – 2022), he bowed out on July to set up a Security Outfit called Icare Security and Safety Consult Limited as the managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

He has obtained certificate courses in Armed Forces Resettlement school (AFRC) (General Management), Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Advance Management Course, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) organizational security management; National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) effective conflict management in an organization, Leadership programs, World Safety Organization (WSO HSE 1,2, and 3) and others.

He belongs to professional bodies such as Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), Institute of Security of Nigeria (ISN), International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), Association of Industrial Security and Safety of Nigeria (AISSON) and Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
